Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be the running the London Run to the Beat Half Marathon on 27th of September. As you probably know... i am not a runner, and theres hardly any bragging rights to be gained from running a half marathon.... so i'm basically running this for the Whale Sharks.... a large slow creature... that swims... similar to me :)

I am now offering sponsorship packages.

Gun Package x 2:
For all corporate sponsorships  £50+ - my entire arm is open for branding - this will be on clear show throughout the 7 hours it takes me to complete this half Marathon - hence great value for Money;)

Homepage Takeover x 1:
For all corporate Sponsorships £100+ my forehead is up for branding - nuff said.

Now more about my charity:

The whale shark is the largest fish on our planet. But despite their great size very little is known about these colossal fish. The Maldives are unique in the Indian Ocean in that they host a year round population of whale sharks, making the archipelago a superb place to study their biology and behavior.

The Maldives Whale Shark Research Program wants to help solve some of the mysteries surrounding this fantastic fish and in turn empower the local Maldivian communities to manage ways of sharing their preccious asset and heritage with tourists sustainably. The Maldives relies heavily on tourism, much of which is underwater related, hence the whale shark is an extremely valuable asset economically but, in many ways, an unknown quantity ecologically.

I've volunteered for this project, and really believe in what the guys are tdoing out there. The MWSRP is just as much about researching the Whale Sharks, as it is about helping preserve the Maldvian heritage through protecting one of their greatest assets.

So dig deep and help me save the sharkies... not to mention it'll probably be slightly amusing watching my tubby ass trying to run a half marathon....
