Hey guys!

Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page - It's thanks to people like you that this amazing charity can carry on and keep providing the aid to working animals such as those shown in our photo gallery.

SPANA are a small charity which ''Across Africa and the Middle East, SPANA clinics treat hundreds of thousands of donkeys, horses, mules, camels and livestock every year'' , not only do they do this, providing a short term solution, they also provide veterinary tuition to those without knowledge, how to care for their animals to prevent these cases ever happening. They also train Veterinary proffesionals out in these countries.

Last year, I ran the Royal parks Half marathon and raised just shy of £400 for this charity, thanks to all of you, this year, I plan to top that!

In 2012, Spana had a project called 'Project Water Trough'' which you can read more about at https://spana.org/project-water-trough-2012 , Basically trying to help tackle the problem of Dehydration in working animals in countries where clean drinking water is not so readily availiable. In 2012 here's what your sponsor money did:

£30 - Built a water trough made from concrete, lasting many years.

£20 - Helps maintain the troughs, keeping them clean.

£15 - Helps keep the troughs filled with fresh water.

This year, 2013, your money will provide:

£5 -One week of nutricious food for one donkey

£9 - Buys a set of sterile bandages for an injured animal

£30 - Buys reading materials for a school class which teaches them how to look after and respect their working animals.

£55 - Covers the cost of medical supplies  and equipment for a SPANA mobile clinic, helping our vets treat hundreds of working animals in remote communities.

 

I aspire to also be a Veterinary Surgeon, this is a charity very close to my heart and I'll put in all the training and effort to raise as much money as I can for this hard working charity!
