Story

"Hope For Haiti: Chester" begins on the 15th March 2010 and comprises of a weeks worth of events in and around Chester to raise money for the Haiti Appeal with Samaritans Purse.

Samaritans Purse has sent a large team to help with the relief effort.  It is going to take a long time to rebuild Haiti physically and emotionally. With help from charities like Samaritans Purse, the people of Haiti can begin to find there is hope beyond this terrible tragedy.  For more information please visit: http://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/

People from across the city will be taking part in various activities organised by Northgate Church to raise as much money as possible.

Here is a taster of some of the events planned so far:

30 hour Drumathon
Kids Skipathon and Danceathon
Men’s Leg and Back Waxing
Young People's Overnight Lock-in
Caribbean Food Night

Please dig deep and give what you can for this appeal. The Credit Crunch may stop us enjoying all the luxuries we would hope for, but in Haiti a cup of clean water and a bowl of rice, really is the difference between life and death.
