Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 7th June 2019, two teams will be travelling in 2 cars across Europe, covering 2500 miles in just 4 days. They have a budget of £500 per car to get them across the finish line. 

Karl, Rob & Lee are Team Chester, following the stillbirth of our son on 4th May 2018 at 38 weeks. 

Matt, Rhys & Warren are Team Daisy-May, following the stillbirth of Matt & Leanne's daughter on 5th February 2018 at 35 weeks. 

Myself and Leanne, are cousins, meaning that just twice in 3 short months, our family said goodbye to two babies when we should have been welcoming them home. 

Children Are Butterflies helped with funeral arrangements along with providing support and comfort during an unimaginably difficult time. Both Chester and Daisy-May were looked after in their nursery before their funerals and both have memory boxes which include hand and foot prints, hand and foot casts, locks of hair and other keepsakes, which have proved invaluable and irreplaceable. 

Without Children Are Butterflies, we wouldn't have the precious memories of our babies, for which we will be forever grateful. 

Sadly, the UK has one of the highest rates of stillbirth across the developed world and currently 15 babies a day die just before, during or shortly after birth meaning charities such as Children Are Butterflies provide a much needed service to families just like us.  

Every penny raised is gratefully received and will go a long way in helping other families after the loss of their child.
