Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.   As might know, every year I get out of my comfort zone, challenge myself in a physical activity and raise funds for charity in the process. Last year it was the 3 Peaks challenge (which feels like a distant memory now) and this year fortunately, I have been selected to be part of a group of 33 that will go on a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp in aid of Save the Children. This is a fully funded event which means that ALL of your generous donation will be given to Save the Children.   <a href="http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/about-us/where-we-work">Save the Children</a> is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United Kingdom and more than 120 countries reaching more than 80 million children around the world. Recognized for their commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, their work takes them into the heart of communities, where they help children and families help themselves. When disaster strikes, Save the Children responds quickly to save children’s lives. In 2011 they responded to 45 emergencies in 38 different countries and helped over 3 million children.  My objective is to raise £4,000 which will be put towards the tremendous work that Save the Children do.   Please dig deep and support me as I embark on yet another challenge to raise vital funds which support a very worthy cause.
