Story

Andy's Story

I have family members who have been dealing with mental health conditions, from panic attacks to depression.  I have seen the effect that these can have and the great work that can be done with the right support.

Supporting Mental Health Awareness also helps remove the stigma attached to it, the more we can talk about it the easier it will be for those effected.  So go on give something, anything, you will be helping a lot of people and not just ones with mental health problems, you will be helping the countless families.

Chloe's Story

I was diagnosed with epilepsy ages 11, since then I have dealt with depression and anxiety as a result. I have found myself battling low points throughout my life.

After loosing my nana and grandad within 4 weeks of each other in 2015,  my epilespy became active, i reach that low point again. Instead of trying to hide, i sought help from a mental health charity and internal support from Lloyds bank. My live has turned around, I am back to the positive, happy, self i was before. Talking about, and support mental health awareness is personally important to me, making sure everyone feels comfortable and safe talking about it should be important to us all.

Glyn's Story

My son has been dealing with Anxiety and depression for a long time, this has had a major impact on his life, my son is only 13 so this has impacted on his schooling and his sccial  life as well and he
struggles to cope with making friends and managing day to day life.

Supporting mental health uk will hope to lift stigma and get more people talking more about mental health.

1 in 4 people will be affected by mental health issues. Chances are if not you, then someone you know or love will be affected

The funds you donate will be going towards the opening of a call centre dedicated to helping people in emotional, mental and financial difficulties. So rarther than having to go to 3 different services, everything a person needs will be under 1 roof. How amazing is that, and i can't think of a better reason to run 10K
