Story

*Read my article for Marie Claire here: http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/blogs/551983/cancer-diagnosis-how-to-cope.html

Okay, so let's get the gloomy bit over and done with... Last year, out of the blue, I was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian Cancer after a routine scan and life was suddenly turned upside down. A terrifying, lonely and tough journey lay ahead.  But 6 months later, here I am, recovering well after successful surgery at St.Thomas'.  Phew.  And now I'm really passionate about raising funds and awareness for this illness which does not only affect older, post-menopausal women, but as I learnt, active, young women like me, too. So on March 19th I will hopefully be fit and healthy enough to take part in our 3-hour-full-on-boxathon led by Teresa Malins, my pilates and piloxing instructor, who came up with the brilliant idea to take part in Box 2 Beat Cancer to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Action, a charity close to her heart too. It will be tough, but with your sponsorship and support you'll keep me going! All donations HUGELY appreciated.
