My story
It is with great sadness we have to report the village that has been Village by Village's base for 5 years is now in the grip of a cholera outbreak. A young mother died last week leaving three children and many more are getting very sick.

30/6/11 - JUST BEEN EMAILED ANOTHER TWO PEOPLE HAVE DIED......
Once you live in the village it's easy to forget how vulnerable this community can be so we are asking all those connected to the charity or who have lived in Gboloo for help.
Short term - We want to educate more children about sanitation
Longer term - In partnership with the Ghana National Health Service we are looking at converting the Information Centre into a Community Health Clinic
Cholera is caused by poor sanitation and a lack of clean water. It is believed the disease was brought into the community from a remote outlying village without a well or toilets but the effects have been devastating.
