My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be putting my body through the toughest endurance events I have ever done over the course of 4 consecutive sundays, equalling around 120 miles.
First up is the Spartan Race: http://www.spartanrace.com/edinburgh-obstacle-racing-spartan-sprint-2012.html A hellish sprint over 3 miles and 15 obstacles
Next is the Great Scottish Run: http://www.runglasgow.org/ And having never run more than a few miles, this will hurt!!
The third Sunday http://www.pedalforscotland.org/, an almost 50 mile cycle followed by my own cycle to St. Andrews from Edinburgh, finishing on the 16th September
All this is in aid of a local charity that deals with possibly the most life shattering of situations...
My wife and I are lucky enough to have two beautiful young boys but others have not been as lucky. Losing a little one would be the hardest thing that can happen to a parent and nothing would be able to console their loss. However the work at SANDS lothians, provides help and support to those who need it.
Please, give as much as you can, whilst all the time knowing that you are helping such a deserving charity (and the fact that I will be covered in blood, mud, sweat and tears should only be an extra bonus!)

After the most difficult leg of my month of fundraising delight (torture), I am in a great amount of pain. Though my aches, scrapes, injuries and pains do not compare to the inconsolable loss of losing a little one. Please show that you continue to care by donating!!
Can barely walk after a 1hr 57minute Half Marathon...blisters, rashes, sore joints and aching muscles....6 days to go before a 50mile cycle!! Yet my pain is nothing compared to the agonising loss of losing a little one...please continue to dig deep! Every penny is appreciated! xx
