Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

In 2018 I wondered down to Market Square to see the riders in the Tour De Sez readying themselves for their departure. They were cycling from St Malo to Amsterdam. The buzz of excitement was tangible, there was a sense of anticipation and I felt humbled in the presence of so many folks, all with different stories, different walks of life, contrasting body types but a common goal. You knew just from standing there and soaking in the snippets of conversations, the wishes of good will that this was not the start of the journey......this was the home straight; the glorious end to what had been a long hard program of training, learning and team building. I knew then and there that I would be on the next Tour.......and here I am. 

At this juncture I am woefully out of shape and about to collect my tour jersey. The first part of my challenge will be actually putting it on! I made some big dietary changes some seven weeks ago and I’m already seeing and feeling the benefits, so that’s a good start!

Obviously, I’ll need a bike, some Lycra and a helmet....That’s in hand, I’ve asked Santa!

I’m not going to lie, it’s been a while so the Alps, when I cross them, in glorious style, will not be the first uphill challenge that I’ve faced!

To be honest, I am nervous but excited, totally up for this and looking forward to becoming a better version of me whilst raising a job load of money for a great cause, that supports local projects and of course proudly riding out in memory of Sarah.
