I'm asking for donations towards my 375 mile sponsored cycle ride taking place in May in aid of the charity Help for Heroes. I'm doing the ride in the memory of my brother, Steve, who was killed in action whilst serving in on 30th May 2009. This is a charity he believed in and one which he would almost certainly have benefited from had he been less serious injured.  This ride gives me the chance to raise some money for a great cause whilst undertaking something worthy of Steve's memory. To find out more about my cycle ride please follow this link www.helpforheroes.org.uk/bbbr_2010.html

The cycle ride is certainly going to give me a challenge; At the time of signing up to the challenge my furthest distance in a day was only 25 miles! I've been training hard over the last few months and if you want to keep tabs on how I'm getting on please check back on this page and follow me on twitter - www.twitter.com/chrisintraining

The charity Help for heroes is strictly non political and non critical. It believes that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
