As many of you already know on September 20th I will be taking part in the Bupa Great North Run (13 miles). Rather than just pounding the streets for my own 'enjoyment' I thought I would try and put the miles to some good use and run in aid of a North East childrens charity which GVA Grimley's Newcastle office are supporting this year. I have looked into the work they do and have been both impressed and moved by the help they give. Below is a link to a video which shows in more detail what I mean - it is very long so don't watch it all (unless you want to) but it will give you a taster.

I know money is scarce at the moment and that we all give to charities in different ways, however I would be grateful if you could consider supporting me for the event. I hate asking for sponsorship so no huge sums please just a few pounds to help a very worthwhile charity and a cause which is important to me.
Training is going well and subject to fighting my way through the crowds I am hoping to break 90 (ish) minutes but not setting any targets just going to enjoy the day and take the opportunity to laugh at a few Newcastle United fans (always fun! - sorry Paul Mc!)
I have various 10k events over the summer and even an international fixture in Scotland at the end of August so keep an eye on this page and I will let people know how I am getting on!
Many thanks in advance
Chris.
