At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

National Grid are organising a cycling challenge, the Tour de Grid, that will involve riding between NG sites across the country to raise money for our designated charity, Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer's Society are a brilliant charity who are leading the fight in Britain against all forms of dementia. The funds raised by your donation will go towards - amongst other great things - research on treatments, support for sufferers and campaigning to ensure the battle against dementia is given the government funding and political attention that it desperately needs.

National Grid will match any donation made, so Alzheimer's Society will be receiving £2.25 for every £1 you contribute (assuming you qualify for gift aid)!

I will be riding 150km from NG's HQ in Warwick, to another office in Wokingham, including climbing through 1300m of elevation - which is roughly the same height gain as the final Alpine mountain in this year's Tour de France! And I'll be riding without the assistance of EPO!

Thank you for reading and please give generously.
