Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I ran the 2010 London Marathon on 25th April 2010 for Diabetes UK. I was aiming for under 4hours, but running 26.2 miles I did 4 hours 5 minutues..

I ran for Diabetes UK because my sister, Lizzie, got Type 1 Diabetes in her first year at University.   Type 1 Diabetes is caught from a virus and usually affects children and young adults.

Lizzie is managing very well and has adjusted her life style accordingly. She injects with insulin after meals and eats a healthy diet and keeps herself fit. The sponsorship would greatly  help to bring any new medicine and break through in finding a cure for this chronic illness.

Thank you for your donations to such a worthy cause.
