In case you weren’t aware, meningitis means swelling of the lining around the brain and spinal cord.

Each year as many as 3,000 people are affected in the U.K and Ireland. Sadly, one in ten will die and many others will be left with after effects which could be as severe as brain damage, deafness and amputations.

The Foundation relies on donations to:

- invest in prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia.

- fund the production and distribution of millions of symptoms cards, leaflets and posters that have saved lives.

- provide round the clock information and support through the 24-hour helpline.

A donation of any size would be a great help and would go towards a very worthy cause, but equally I understand if you can’t.
