I have been "persuaded" to run my first - and likely only- marathon in support of ARCHIE, the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital Charity. Thought that New York is as good a place as any and it has the advantage of not having too many hills....
Having been on the steering board of the charity for several years now I have seen just what the money has done for the children in the North of Scotland. "Making the Difference" is the aim of ARCHIE and in my experience it certainly does do that.
So please feel free to make a sickeningly huge donation and encourage all your friends, family and colleagues who are wondering what to do with that spare £100 they have just found........ You won't even notice its gone! My target is £3000 but more would be better. There is still loads that ARCHIE can do.
