Fundraising for Action for Children
Story
On Saturday 8th May I am taking part in the Hays "Beat the Moon Challenge" in the Lake District. This will involve a 9 mile bike ride, a 9 mile trek up Scafell, a 1 mile canoe across Wast Water before finishing with a run along the side of Wast Water.
Whilst the day will no doubt involve pain & suffering on my part, it is all in a worthy cause.
I will be raising money for Action for Children. Their work includes support for young people facing severe difficulties including family breakdown, neglect, abuse, caring responsibilities and poverty. Their experiences often leave them with emotional and behavioural issues such as low self esteem and problems forming relationships with others, which impact severely their ability to secure or stay in education, employment or training. Action for Children provide practical support and personal development activity to help them overcome this.
My target is £600, so please dig deep and donate now.
