Starting on August 262011 a group of us are walking the West Highland Way in aid of Arthritis Research UK. This is a distance of 96 miles and we intend covering it in 5 days.

More than 10 million people in the UK are affected with arthritis. There are over 200 different types and around 1 in every 1,000 children suffers with childhood Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. It is not an older person’s disease and many sufferers are between 30 and 50 years old.

Arthritis is not fatal but can cause constant pain, loss of mobility and the inability to pursue many hobbies enjoyed before the onset of the disease.

We would be very pleased indeed if you would sponsor us and help us to raise money for research into this disease so that the pain can be removed and sufferers can remain active.

Thank you

Nicky Jeffrey, Dave and Sarah Whiteley, Chris, Gerry, Philippa and Jeremy Green, Mike Rewcastle, Sue Nuttall, Richard Taylor and Jan Morris
