Thanks very much for supporting WellChild by sponsoring me in the London marathon!

 While working for WellChild over the last year as their Communications Officer I have been privileged to meet some of the seriously ill children and their families that the charity helps. These are children who face challenges which make my challenge of running 26 miles seem insignificant. They face pain, they face fear and they face not knowing what the future will hold. Or even if they will have a future. But the kids and the mums and dads I have met simply do not do self-pity. They are resilient and full of hope.

 I have children of my own and I can only imagine what it must be like to deal with what these families do. That is why I am running the marathon for them, despite being old enough to know better and frankly not as fit as I used to be.  I believe that the work of care, support and research which WellChild does makes a difference to the lives of these children. Thanks for helping them.
