Story
By the time you read this I should be a few days into my little adventure. I am setting out to walk the Pennine Way which, most of you will know, is a 260 mile walk from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland. This walk runs along the backbone of northern England and was the first walk to be opened as a National Trail in 1965. This is a solo attempt which I hope to complete in about three weeks, staying at pubs, B and B's, youth (!) hostels, camping barns and campsites. As this will involve a certain amount of discomfort I thought it might all seem more worthwhile if I could raise a little money for the Kirkwood Hospice (charity ref 512987) which provides such a wonderful service to our local community.
