Hello!
We are taking part in a mammoth cycle ride (300 miles) from London to Paris from 15th to 19th July 2015 to raise funds for Wirral Hospice St John’s. We are both keen supporters of our local Hospice and both have lost friends and relatives at the Hospice. We are aware of the wonderful care patients receive as well as the sensitivity and understanding that families are offered at what proves to be a very difficult time in their lives. The Hospice is allocated limited funding from the Government which means it is dependent upon a vast amount of income from individual and collective donations. To continue to provide their care, they must raise over £2 million from the local community.
Our training will include a daily exercise regime (in all weathers) including walking, running and lengthy cycle rides and we are hopeful of reaching a target of 100 mile cycles nearer the event. As marathon runners we are hopeful of achieving our aims as well as enjoying the challenges ahead!
