Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Text: CKJK75 £5 (or any amount you want) to 70070

I'll be attempting to walk the 34 mile Sandstone Trail, with my good friends Rolo AKA The Pieman and John "Boy" Owen*. This will be a challenge as some of us haven't walked this far for quite some time. Blisters and various aches and pains are expected and we might even have to give up pie eating until after the event. (Not!)

My dad had Parkinson’s for many years and passed away in March, so we’re walking in his memory. During dads last few years I found the help, support and advice I was able to get from Parkinson’s UK invaluable.

Dad was an active member of the Chester Branch of Parkinson’s UK and benefited greatly from the activities and events they were able to offer. We collected £500 at dad’s funeral for the Chester Branch to help them continue the great work they do.

We’re hoping we can raise a few more pounds for Parkinson’s UK helping them as well.

Thanks for any donations.

Chris.
