Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I signed up to do the Ladies Try-a-Tri in East Grinstead, having never done a Triathlon, to help fundraise for the music charity Nordoff Robbins.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated to this great cause, I have been overwhelmed by the support and am already at 150% of my target! I have been able to increase my target 3 fold since starting.

The race is now 2 weeks away and your sponsorships have spurred me on with my training. I am now thinking of stretching myself further and upping the level to do the longer Sprint Triathlon (400m swim, 25k bike, 5K run) if I get enough sponsorship....................
So thank you (I think!) to the further sponsorships I've had to take me over the threshold and upgrade to the Sprint Triathlon.

I certainly will be working hard for every penny pledged!

I am taking part with a team of fantastic people connected through Monkey Music in some way. Our shared passion for music and its related benefits makes supporting the charity Nordoff Robbins a perfect choice.

Nordoff Robbins is an independent music therapy charity which celebrates the connection and joy music can bring to those with life-limiting illnesses, physical disabilities or emotional challenges.

- £5 will provide a tool for a non verbal child to be able
to express themselves beyond words through something as simple as drumsticks

- £50 will pay for a child suffering from cancer to attend a
music therapy session

- £250 will pay for a full day of music therapy in a
dedicated centre

Please support us to reach our team target of £15,000. Just £1 will make a difference.

Thank you
