My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Pedal for Pounds page.
The challenge is to cycle 55 miles up bryn and down valley from Brecon to Cardiff Bay along the infamous Taff Trail. It will be a long and arduous journey, off-road, and possibly in warm sunshine. The cause is a great one - Right To Play, a fantastic charity that my employer Proxima is supporting this year. Read about Right To Play to the right.
Please dig deep and sponsor me for this challenge, which I will be doing on my classic 20-year old Raleigh Dyna-Tech mountain bike, described as "innovative, short-lived and ultimately commercially unsuccessful" by RetroBike.co.uk. State of the art when generously purchased for me by my parents (when mountain bikes were a new phenomenon!), today it weighs a ton so this will be no easy ride!
