Event: 75 Mile Route - Life Cycle 5 Community Day, on 23 August 2015
We raise funds at Nottingham to transform lives.

Story

I am participating in one of the Life Cycle 5 sponsored rides and will be cycling the 75 mile (120 km) route on Sunday 23rd August 2015.

We are raising money for Dementia Research.  Life Cycle 5 aims to raise £350,000 to apply the University’s world-leading expertise in MRI scanning to the study of dementia and other degenerative conditions of the brain.  Using a leading-edge MRI scanning systems thousands of times more sensitive than conventional scanning our expert researchers will be the first in the world to use this technology to understand the different ways in which dementia damages brain cells. This will pave the way for:
•        earlier diagnosis
•        development of treatment tailored for individual patients
