Story

UPDATE: Original target of £50 met - extra 25 quid added. Thanks to all donors so far! I'll try to change the slightly scary picture as soon as I can.

Alright folks!

As befits my giving and generous nature, I'm trying to give something back to the folks at Cornerstone and take part in their cycling challenge.

Well, actually it's because they promised to give me a free t-shirt...

Anyway, it's a good cause and most people I know have hit me up for money for their fundraising efforts, so here's my modest contribution to making the world a better (and greener) place.

As an exta added incentive to donate: I HEREBY UNDERTAKE TO CYCLE 1 MILE FOR EVERY POUND DONATED!

You heard right. If you donate £1, then I will cycle 1 mile just for you. Donate £20 and I'll have to do 20 miles. Cornerstone thanks you even if I don't necessarily.

Current mileage: 79 miles (13/10/09)

Now here's the science bit:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
