I will be spending 8 days in June this year riding from Innsbruck to Cannes with The FireFlies. This is a distance of roughly 1000kms, with a total vertical climbing of about 25000 metres. That means we will be climbing the equivalent of the height of Everest - 3 times over - whilst riding the same distance that it is from London to Brighton and back every day.

It's hard. Really very hard - especially when you have a body that was born in the '60's.

As most of you know, this isn't my first Rodeo, I've completed the FireFlies in Europe four times now - and ridden the equivalent ride in the US twice. So I've done a lot of cycling but more importantly, I've raised a lot of money in the fight against Cancer, of which the battle against Blood Cancers is widely agreed to be the key. And yet again I find myself surrounded by people I love who's lives are being affected by this every day; so its time to go again.

I know its difficult to find spare cash - but if you can find it in your heart to sponsor my ride I promise I'll be suffering throughout, this isnt something I take on lightly.
