This April, I will be participating in the London Marathon. I have never run for a bus let alone 26 miles !!!!!!

 

The success of Team GB at London Olympics and Paralympics games in 2012 has inspired us all. However, the truth is my true inspiration has come from hearing about Whizz-Kidz and the great work they do providing disabled children and young people with the essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods so they can look forward to a bright future. I heard about Whizz-Kidz at a dinner held on my 51st birthday - 22nd November and decided to do what I can to help this fantastic charity - And no I hadn't had too much to drink !!

 

As with all charities they survive on the goodwill and donations. That’s where we come in. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. For those of you who have known me for a while you know it won't be easy ! My first goal is to reduce from my original 11/2012 weight of 16st 6 lb down to a 'slim Jim' of max 14s 7lb - a way to go yet !
