<p>Am I mad? For the second year running I'm running 4.5km round the Serpentine then climbing something like 500 steps to the top of the Hilton Park Lane - all before a hard day's work.</p>
<p>What a great charity though! Last year it took 20 disadvantaged and at risk young people aged 18-24 not in education or employment, and offered them training and opportunities for a front of house career in some of the most prestigious hotels in London.</p>
<p>This all takes funding and I'm proud to say that last year, through the incredible generosity of colleagues, friends and family I was able to raise £2.5K through running the Mayfair Park & Tower Race; more than 10% of the total raised.</p>
<p>Probably just as well I did so well at the fundraising, as I realised just how old I was when I turned up in the morning to a room full of young, fit people. Nonetheless I didn't disgrace myself and came in just over halfway through the pack.</p>
<p>So I'm back in training, determined both to break last year's fundraising effort and my time.This is my one big industry fundraiser of the year and I will put 100% effort into it.</p>
<p>I really hope that those who sponsored me last year will all be at least as generous as you were then and that those that were unable to will dig deep this year.</p>
