The roof of Africa - for Mind

Bangor does Mount Kilimanjaro · 2 September 2019 ·
I will be climbing to the roof of Africa next summer, Mount Kilimanjaro: with all of your support. All proceedings will be donated to the charity Mind - The Mental Health Charity.
Climbing this impressive, (tallest) free-standing mountain to a height of 5895 meters is something that I have never done.
With various fundraising events and kind donations I will not only be able to complete this magnificent feat, but also raise money for a cause that has helped millions of people already, and only aims to do more.
Did you know:
- That one in four of us will experience a mental health issue every year?
- That 75% of young people with mental health issues are not receiving any treatment?
- That suicide is the leading cause of death in men and women aged 20-34?
- And that in 2016/17, Mind had 3540 members on the team: over 2100 of them were volunteers!
Mind has excelled in making those who suffer from mental health issues reach out, and ask for help. And with YOUR help, more will be given the help they deserve.
Mind works alongside the NHS and strives to ensure that no one with a mental health issue has to face it alone.
