Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Everyone knows of the very important and often LIFE SAVING work the crews of the air ambulance do on a daily basis. As a Racehorse Trainer in Middleham I often see staff who have been injured in falls from racehorses being attended to by the skilled Great North Air Ambulance crews. I am sure everyone of you has seen the air ambulance attending traffic accidents, in many cases these people really do save lives, especially when time is of the essence.

AMAZINGLY this very important service relies solely on charitable donations. Having recently celebrated my 60th birthday my son PETER (who is a serious cyclist) thought it would be a good idea for us both to do the COAST to COAST cycle ride from WHITEHAVEN to SUNDERLAND (150 odd miles) for The GREAT NORTH AIR AMBULANCE. He fancied doing it in a day (I fancied living a bit longer) so agreed on three days (I have not sat on a bike for about 45 years - at LEAST). I have been doing some sneaky training though.

We set off on SEPTEMBER 6th. Please give generously (I know about the credit crunch) but these people really do deserve your help -  it may be you that requires their help next - you never know what is round the corner, they COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE, or a friend or relation.
