Story

Sorry about the curry-related pun in the name, but thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you can see, I;m more used to water-based challenges and so tackling a run of this distance is not only a personal challenge, but also a chance to recognise the bravery of servicemen serving not only in Afghanistan, but all around the world. The St George's School 'Great Curry run' on 21st April 2012 is 22.09 km, just a kilometre above half marathon distance. This is 10 metres for each of the 2209 servicemen killed or wounded in action in Afghanistan since 2001 - quite a shocking statisitic! Many staff of the school, parents and past students are participating in an event that is destined to be hard work, painful, but above all rewarding for the charity that so greatly needs your support.

Thank you for your generous support .... Chris
