As an initiative created by the ITFC charitable trust, I have been given a fantastic opportunity to travel to Nakuru, Kenya in October, to work on a range of projects from helping in the local community to football coaching. I will be part of a group of 30 volunteers whose aim is to raise £25,000 from the project, which goes to both helping the community in Kenya as well as local projects in and around the Ipswich area. It will be my first time in Kenya, and will be a great chance to help out in the local community, which is in a deprived area of the country.
I will be aiming to undertake a some fundraising activies in the next few months and will combine this with donations received. Any donations, however large or small, are greatly appreciated, as will help me get one step closer to this great experience.
