There is a reason for this Madness I am fasting,  to help raise money for aid in for those communities in Eastern Caribbean facing a growing humanitarian crisis due to the recent Hurricanes, Irma and Maria.  

This aid will be useful with reconstruction of roads, homes, and schools destroyed, also significant services and infrastructure which has been destroyed. I believe that it is essential to put an importance to the Children who are dealing with the instability cause by these disasters. 

A friend of mine was telling me about a charity called, 'Diaspora gives back', and I feel like this is significant, because I also believe any individual from any diaspora should help the development of these emerging markets, even if you do not belong to the specified diaspora. 

So, on the 17th- 18th November ,Warwick Unicef on Campus will be undertaking a 24 hour fast to raise money for UNICEF's appeal for Hurricane Maria.
