We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the first (and last!) time I'll ever be asking you for cash, but I think you'll agree it's for a good cause.

I'm running the London Marathon in April 2010 for Shelter – it's the first time I've done anything like this. And I might, potentially, die of a heart attack on The Mall. So, yes, it could be the last.

Shelter is the homelessness charity which helps vulnerable people in Britain with nowhere to live; as well as lobbying the government on housing issues. I think they do pretty good work.

Lastly, don't worry about donating a small amount. For example, if everyone I know on Facebook gave 3 quid then that would be the total reached.

The small print:

Once you donate, JustGiving send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
