Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013

The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

I am running the London Marathon yet again! 2012 was fantastic, I loved every single minute! Even though I could hardly walk for two days!

I would love to beat 2012's time of 4 hours, 58 minutes, 55 seconds...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now! I would be very grateful for any help you can provide, even if it is just £1!

Rebecca Round (Events and Corporate Administrator), from Chris's chosen charity, St John Ambulance, said: "We’re very grateful to Chris for his support. The funds he raises will help us in our mission to ensure as many people as possible are taught life saving first aid skills. St John Ambulance has its own marathon task in Essex where we are committed to free first aid training for 3,000 local residents and 1,100 school children over the next three years. We’re taking our ambitious first aid training programme to community groups, youth organisations, schools and individuals all over the county. We’re even providing free one-to-one training sessions in the homes of people unable to attend one of our community courses. So thanks Chris – with your help we’re teaching people how to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved."
