Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
WHAT IS FIREWALKING? Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot wooden coals. A combination of pine, ash and oak is burnt and then broken down into a smooth red hot path of embers. The lane itself is between 15-20ft long and 2-3ft wide. During the course of the burn down the temperature of the fire reaches over 1236° Fahrenheit and when it comes time to walk on the coals the fire lane will be burning at a core temperature of over 800° degrees Fahrenheit.
We are the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now help more than 215,000 cats and kittens every year, through our network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 29 adoption centres. Our work does not stop there, however: we also provide an array of cat care information via our publications, website and Helpline; promote the benefits of neutering to prevent unwanted litters from being born and becoming the abandoned cats of tomorrow and seek to educate people of all ages about cats and their care
