As many of you know I have been raising money for MNDA for the last 18 months.
On 22nd April 2020 we lost our beloved father, grandfather and friend Les Burke to MND. He had a short battle with this cruel disease that truly devastated us all.
My original intention was to run 55 miles from our home to Les’ family home in September 2020. Sadly this had to be cancelled due to a car crash coming back from a holiday in August 2020, which still is causing pain for me and Cherry to this day.
I have been applying for the London Marathon ballots since 2011 when I first started my running journey. Sadly it’s been the yearly rejection letter and magazine, and more recently emails!
I have been extremely lucky that after 10 years of trying I have been given the opportunity to run for MNDA in one of their charity places for the 2022 race. I am so grateful for this opportunity and will do everything I can to raise the required funds to be on that start line.
Please donate anything you can, every penny counts. Thank you for taking time to read my story!
