Story

Hi!

So this will be my first half-marathon, and I figured I whilst I'm doing it I should run for a charity.

Roy Castle was among many professions, a very accomplished jazz musician, who fell victim to lung cancer through passive smoking whilst playing within smokey jazz clubs. Before he died, he set up the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, a charity whos purpose was to fundraise for lung cancer research, and provide hope and support for anyone currently fighting the disease. This a disease that has affected my own family, as my Grandad passed away back in 1995 after losing his battle with it.

Research is entirely funded by donations, so please don't hesitate. Everyone has a little that they can give, even a little will be spent very wisely.

Thank all of you for your donations :)
