Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year sees a first attempt at the Brighton Marathon: sun (possibly), sea (probably) and sore legs (certainly)!

Having crossed the finishing line in last years VLM I really didn't think i'd ever want to run another marathon again but with only eighteen months to go until the big five zero I thought I that maybe this decrepit old body might have just one more 26.2 miles left in it!

Once again I'm supporting the Springboard Project a locally (Horsham) based charity that do marvellous work to help young people with special needs or disabilities and their parents and carers. You can read a lot more about them by visiting their website at: http://www.springboardproject.com/

I hassled many of you to support Springboard last year and your generosity helped to raise over £2000 which enabled the purchase of a mobile hoist. I realise that we are in difficult financial times and there are many good causes competing for any spare cash we might have so my fundraising approach will be "light touch" this year. I'll send you updates on my training efforts but I'm not setting a high target. Anything you can give will make a difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

See you on April 15.

Chris
