Story

Hello all,

'Tis done...

On the 14th of Feb at about 0730, after 9.5 hours of very small steps, a tired, emotional and very chuffed me made it to the Roof of Africa! Uhuru Peak, Mt Kilimanjaro - 5895M above mean sea level.

It was much harder (and colder) than I expected but, overall, a fantastic experience and I felt K helping me along (with my ipod) a few times!

I've added a couple of piccies of me contemplating the task ahead and will add one of me at the top wearing the PAH t-shirt when I get it from one of my fellow climbers.

Thanks for all your generous sponsorship, I know The Princess Alice will make good use of it!

My dear friends and family - thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you will remember that Sara completed a walk in aid of the Royal Marsden Hospital last year.

Now it's my turn! On the 4th of Feb I fly to Tanzania to climb Mt Kilimanjaro (perhaps that should be attempt to climb!). Anyone who visited Karen in her final days will remember the amazing Princess Alice Hospice, who looked after the most beautiful person to grace my life (family excepted) with such care. All the money raised will go to them so please, please, please dig deep!

Lots of love to you all, as always...

Chris
