Primary bone cancer occurs most commonly in children, teenagers and young
adults. The Bone Cancer Research Trust is devoted to promoting and funding
research into the causes and treatment of PBC, particularly osteosarcoma and
Ewing's sarcoma, and to improving outcomes for patients; and providing
information and support for patients and families.
On the 10th October 2010 I shall be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London. I’m currently training hard in preparation for the run and am now looking towards my friends and family for sponsorship.
I am running the half marathon on behalf of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Sadly in June 2009 my Granddad John Bashall (Gramps) passed away who at the time was suffering from Bone cancer. I wanted to do this run in memory of Gramps and run for a charity that has a personal link to him.
The Bone Cancer Research Trust was formed in 2005 and helps to promote research into the causes and treatment of Primary Bone Cancer, and in particular of osteosarcoma and Ewing’s sarcoma To find out more about the charity you can visit the website - http://www.bonecancerresearch.org.uk
