Story

John O' Groats to Land's End, on a bike, over 12 days, in winter! Sounds easy when you say it quickly.

But like any adventure that’s worth doing, it is a huge challenge. Rain is guaranteed, as are high winds, freezing temperatures and the likelihood of snow. 8 or 9 hours a day in the saddle, climbing hills and mountains that will be long and steep and did I mention it might snow? Muscles will cramp, joints will stiffen, fingers and toes will freeze and did I mention it might snow? Tyres will puncture, gears will slip and chains will come off and did I mention it might snow!

I know what you are thinking, why on earth did I ever sign up for this? Well I can tell you that when I jumped on my bike at 5am this morning to cycle to work (a small distance of 35 miles and 2h 30m) I was thinking the same thing! But then, as I got closer to work, I realised that I love a challenge and this was a huge one! I also get to do this for a fantastic charitable cause. Sport Relief is a household name and a biennial charity event from Comic Relief, in association with BBC Sport, which brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries.

Along with 9 other colleagues, my aim is to raise as much money as I possibly can and I hope that you can help me smash my personal goal of £2,000.

So please, please, please support me with any amount you can afford.

Did I mention it might snow!

Thanks for your support
Chris
