<p><span style="color: #000080;"><strong>Ryedale Special Families</strong></span> is an independent charity founded in the early 1990s by a group of parents of disabled children, with the aim of helping families with the <span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">challenges </span>they face.</p>
<p>They provide help to families, from advice, access to a sensory room, home visits, through to much needed respite care. Their support is invaluable to families that often have little support from elsewhere.</p>
<p>My girlfriend Tanya has a <span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">severely </span>disabled son Jack who has brought her so much joy over the years. But <span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">occasionally </span>she has needed that little extra support, sometime just someone to talk things through with. This charity, and others throughout the country, help families cope with extra <span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">challenges </span>they face, and have been a great help to Tanya and many other families over the years.</p>
