I'm running the Bupa 10k on 30th May 2011 in aid of the Free Representation Unit (FRU).

I've been training for this for about six months and I'm aiming to do it in a fairly respectable time of 50 minutes. Performance related pledges are more than welcome!

So, a little bit about the charity I'm doing this for.

FRU provides legal representatives to help those not fortunate enough to be able to afford them.

They help people when they've lost their job, or been turned down for benefits they really need. All the representatives who work for them are volunteers and yet they handle over 1,000 cases a year.

What FRU does is unique. It's the largest source of free representation in the country, but it's still a drop in the ocean. There are thousands more claims brought every year that don't get that help so they take longer, cost more, and ultimately have less chance of success.

So please, help me support this really great cause by giving as much as you can.
