Story
Hello reader.......
As you may know, Paul Golding (a mate of mine from school) was diagnosed with Leukemia back in 2010 and in order to help raise awareness and money for the organisation that found him a donor, I ran the length of the River Thames in 2011 (180miles over 5 days)
Given that was 2 years ago and I have done very little training since, I thought it about time I set myself another few challenges, 5 to be precise, starting in August and ending with the London Marathon in April next year.
Aug 2013, Welsh 3000 - to climb to the top of all 15 mountain peaks over 3000ft in Wales without using any form of transport. I am doing this with a few mates and the aim is to do it in sub 10 hours (it is a total of 30miles)
Sept 2013, Thames Path Challenge - to run 50k from Putney to Runnymede under 4.5hrs with my sister in law.
Nov 2013, BallBuster - a duathlon around Box Hill consisting of an 8mile run, 24mile bike, 8mile run.
Feb 2014, London Ultra - a 50k foot race from South London to Wembley
April 2014, London Marathon - no explanation needed, I just want to get as close to 3 hours as possible!!
Maybe I have just made you aware of a Charity you had not heard of before, maybe the idea of one of the races has inspired you to get fit/compete in one yourself, or perhaps you feel that these challenges on behalf of Anthony Nolan Trust are worthy of your support!
Whatever you feel right now, thank you for taking the time to read my story.......
