There are a lot of you out there who would pay good money to see a politician barbequed – now’s your chance……

My Father had MND and I am hoping you will help me raise as much as possible for MND Scotland.

I'm sure blistered feet is nothing compared to what people with MND have to suffer every day.

Thank you.

Conquer Fear for Charity

Firewalk Challenge, Falkirk Stadium, Friday 12th March 2010

MND Scotland’s ‘Firewalk Challenge’, is an inspirational fundraising event to benefit people affected by motor neurone disease. The charity invites individuals, families, friends and work colleagues to overcome fear and self-limiting beliefs by becoming brave sponsored participants who will walk across a bed of hot coals on the 12 of March at Falkirk Stadium.

The Firewalk Challenge, run in conjunction with BLAZE events, has been described as ‘an evening of group euphoria’. In simple terms, after a motivational training session, fundraisers will walk along a 20 foot path of coals, burning at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, without experiencing any pain or injury!

Iain McWhirter, Fundraising Manager of MND Scotland said, “This will be an inspirational and barrier-breaking experience for everyone who takes part, so please contact us if you can show your bravery and help raise funds for those diagnosed with motor neurone disease”

Visit MND Scotland’s website at www.mndscotland.org.uk to download a Firewalk Challenge registration form and learn more about the event. Alternatively contact MND Scotland on 0141 945 1077.

Motor Neurone Disease and MND Scotland

Motor neurone disease is a fatal illness with no cure. It can cause paralysis, loss of speech and impairs the ability to eat or drink. Fundraisers will be supporting MND Scotland who provides care and information for people affected by MND, and funding for research to find a cure for motor neurone disease.
