My story

ALL  FINISHED!!  -  (27/2/12)

Well it's all over now!

Managed to complete all 13.1 miles of the course in 3 hrs 8 mins!

Got to 10 miles before my legs started to ache, and I was so knackered after I slept for 4 hours! lol

A Big Thank you to everyone who came and cheered me on. on the day. So glad the weather was good.

I've uploaded a few pictures of the day that Vladimira from Grace Eyre took. A very big thank you to Vladimira who was there from beginning to end.

If you would like to see a little video of me crossing the finish line, you can click on this link  http://dmtrk.net/J4X-OEWC-5Q7K9L-9RU3O-1/c.aspx and type in 2821 which was my race number.

Well the grand total of sponsorship has now reached a mighty £461.50 and is still increasing!

I’m still accepting sponsorship on here until 19/5/12 as my page will be open till then, so if you would like to sponsor me please click the Donate button at the top of page.

A LITTLE UPDATE - (13/2/12)

Brighton Half Marathon Is this Sunday - Only 6 days to go!!!

A BIG THANK YOU, to everyone who has sponsored me. Can't believe how generous everyone has been.

Training has been going well. Legs are aching a bit, but that is to be expected. I will be looking forward to the last bit when I can see the finish line in front of me.

MY STORY

Hi, I’m Christina and I work for Grace Eyre as a Finance worker/Relief Project worker. I’m running the half marathon to raise awareness for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs and to promote the work that Grace Eyre does in supporting them to achieve their dreams and wishes.

I hope to raise at least £300 in sponsorship, to go towards projects that will enable people with learning disabilities to take part in sports activities and have access to sports facilities such as gyms and leisure centres.

Grace Eyre offers service users a wide range of sporting opportunities for all ages and abilities, from football coaching, swimming and power lifting to 10 pin bowling. Grace Eyre also runs the Brighton and Hove Branch of Special Olympics, in which learning disabled athletes train and compete at regional, national and even international tournaments.

If you’d like to know more about Grace Eyre’s work please visit: www.grace-eyre.org

This is my first Half Marathon, and I'd really appreciate your support.

Please click 'DONATE' above or text  'EYRE11£2/£5/£10'  to 70070 for JustTextGiving.
