Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
The majority of people in our city have at some point visited alder hey. Some of us are lucky enough to walk away with our children, after just a visit. Some however, are not.
In 2016 I had my little boy Lui. Just weeks before that my nephew Alex was born. We had thought the pair of them would be running round like little mini me’s together but, unfortunately Alex was born with a rare genetic disorder. In the April after he was born, at just 6 weeks old his heart stopped beating. However, thanks to the amazing staff at alder hey he survived. His genetic disorder meant he had to live in alder hey for the 1st two years of his life, undergoing numerous tests, operations and stays in intensive care. The care and dedication shown by all the staff at alder hey during this time was second to none, both to Alex and his family. To say they went the extra mile is a massive understatement. So, just to try and give a little something back I am getting in the boxing ring on 16 March & hopefully raising a bit of money as a thank you to such an amazing hospital, which we are so so privileged to have on our doorstep.
