Story

I think I've finally lost the plot. Somehow, a few months ago, having completed my second half marathon in 2011, I thought, ' I wonder how far my legs will take me?'

So, I am going to attempt the London Marathon on 22nd April 2012, hoping to raise funds for Scannappeal, a local Buckinghamshire charity. The money we raise will go towards purchasing digital equipment for two mobile breast screening units. This will substantially improve the diagnostic detection of early breast cancer, helping over 23,000 local women each year.

When I told my 8 year old daughter about my plans, her first reaction was, ' 26 miles! That is impossible!!' To which I replied,' Nothing in life is impossible if you put your mind to it.' 'Well Mummy,' she said,' flying to the moon naked is impossible.'

She may be right about the naked moon flight being impossible but with your help and support, it is possible to raise money for this very worthwhile cause. Thank you very much for your support.
